2019-2020 | Audio residency - Kampala - Uganda
A full year was dedicated to making a professional music studio where artists could produce and record their music production for a further publication on JustaHub Recordings.
Sophia L.Burns invited young scottish producer Poros to join the team at the hub located in Kampala - to collaborate with the ugandan and congolese resident musicians part of the collective.
A solid team emerged between Nach Mao, producer and songwriter from RDC Congo and Poros from Ross shire in Scotland; both published a few singles and collaborated on a few releases as they created together the record label JustaHub Recordings. Other releases followed with ugandan singer Roots Natty and guest Barry Tones.
Slowly Djing became also a big part of the activity at the studio, and a few residents learnt the skills to engage with some of the events organised by the collective in venues and bars in the city. Dj Madd; Dj RWA; Dj Nach; Dj Poros
The studio was also used by the residents to record other artists and establish a name for themselves in the underground scene of Kampala.
